Dahi Puri.

Ingredients:

  • 8 puri’s (either homemade or store bought)

  • 1 cup vegan yogurt (I used kite hill)

  • ½ cup water

  • ¼ onion

  • ¼ tomato

  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro

  • 2 teaspoon chaat masala

  • 1-2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon green chutney (mint/coriander)

  • 1 tablespoon imli ki chutney (tamarind)

  • 1 potato

  • sev

Recipe:

Potato Filling:

  1. Boil your potato until it is fully cooked.

  2. Mash your potato till there are no more clumps and add in one teaspoon of chaat masala and ½-1 teaspoon of salt. Add more as needed!

Yogurt:

  1. In a bowl, add in your vegan yogurt and slowly start adding water while mixing simultaneously.

  2. Keep adding water and mixing until your yogurt is thinned out - should be the consistency of pancake batter.

  3. Add in a tablespoon of chaat masala and ½-1 teaspoon of salt and mix. Time to assemble your dahi puri!

Dahi Puri:

  1. Dice your onion, tomato, and cilantro into small pieces.

  2. Line up your puri’s in a circle in a plate and poke a hole in all your puris.

  3. Fill each puri with a little of your potato filling and top with a few drops of your imli ki chutney.

  4. Pour your yogurt all over the puris making sure that it is evenly distributed in each puri.

  5. Add your green chutney and imli ki chutney evenly in each puri.

  6. Top with your onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and sev. And you’re all set, enjoy!
